Ali Noor is a Pakistani singer, songwriter and guitarist, and the elder of the two brothers who founded the Lahore rock band Noori in 1996, where he sings lead. A trained lawyer, he grew up inside an unusual musical inheritance: his mother, Noor Zehra Kazim, is the foremost player of the sagar veena, an instrument his grandfather Raza Kazim invented in 1971. He sang the title track 'Allah Allah Bol' for the animated film Allahyar and the Legend of Markhor, and voiced one of its characters. His first solo record, Pagal, arrived in 2020 — cut in about three weeks at his house, more electronic and more personal than Noori's work — led by the single 'Banjo'.
