Imran Khan — born Imran Nasser Khan in The Hague in 1984, to parents who left Gujranwala for the Netherlands in the early 1970s — is a Dutch singer and rapper who made Punjabi a language of European urban pop. 'Amplifier' broke him in 2009 and the album Unforgettable followed the same year, taking Best Album at the Brit Asia awards. 'Satisfya' (2013), released on his own IK Records, passed a billion views on YouTube and topped the Asian Music Chart, as did 'Imaginary' and 'Knightridah'. He calls what he does urban Punjabi music.
