Star Shah, born Amir Shah, is a rapper and poet from Okara in Punjab who worked as an educator while pursuing music for some fifteen years. His writing grew out of a love of poetry and the spoken word, and he moved to Lahore to chase it. His Coke Studio Season 15 debut "2AM", written with and answered by Zeeshan Ali, drew wide critical acclaim.
