استاد نزاکت علی خان
Ustad Nazakat Ali Khan (1928–1984) was a Pakistani classical vocalist and, with his younger brother Ustad Salamat Ali Khan, one half of the duo known simply as the Ali Brothers. He was born in Sham Chaurasi in Hoshiarpur district and trained by his father, Ustad Vilayat Ali Khan; after 1947 the family settled in Multan and then Lahore. The brothers first sang on radio in 1942 and became the modern face of the Sham Chaurasia gharana — a lineage rooted in dhrupad and in the jugalbandi duet — into which they brought khayal. Their partnership ended in the early 1970s after a family dispute.
